This innovative sensor represents a significant advancement in barrier automation, designed to completely transform how automatic barriers operate. It replaces traditional, labour-intensive solutions like induction loops and photocells with cutting-edge, modern technology, thereby converting "hard work into smart work". GfA is proud to offer BEA products such as EVOLOOP, aiming to generate awareness and interest among key audiences, including installers, system integrators, facility managers, and end-users in parking, access control, and toll applications.
Key Advantages of EVOLOOP
EVOLOOP offers numerous benefits, enhancing efficiency and ease of use in barrier systems. It functions as an activation, presence, and protection sensor and detects moving or stationary vehicles and pedestrians. Utilising FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave), MoWa inside microwave technology, the EVOLOOP detects and protects with precision.
Beyond just opening and closing barriers, it can also activate ticketing and license plate recognition systems. This innovation is geared towards time-saving and cost-saving.
Revolutionary Installation & Ease of Use
One of EVOLOOP's most compelling features is its easy installation. Mechanical installation is straightforward and can be completed in approximately 25 minutes. The sensor can be mounted low, between 30 cm and 70 cm from the road surface, with a mechanical angle adjustable from -20° to +20° without additional accessories. Configuration, diagnostics, and setup are intuitive via an easy-to-use mobile app, which allows users to "see the invisible loops with ease" and manage various settings.
Protection & All-Weather Reliability
EVOLOOP provides protection for both vehicles and pedestrians, reducing the risk of contact with the barrier arm. It meets EN 12453 Type D safety standards. Designed for robust performance, EVOLOOP operates reliably in all weather conditions, including challenging environments such as rain, fog, snow, and frost. Its virtual loops remain reliable and resistant in all environments. The product boasts a high level of finish and robustness, with IP65 protection rating and an operating temperature range from -25°C to +55°C (limited to +50°C when using AC supply).

EVOLOOP is robust and versatile but to cover all bases we also offer the following steel accessories where anti-vandalism or extra flexibility for installation is required:

Smart Control & Versatility
With a radar field of view of 140° opening field and 40° in elevation, EVOLOOP allows for the configuration of up to 3 virtual loops independently to suit diverse application needs. The mobile app facilitates intuitive configuration, enabling users to choose loop types, target types, and add a sense of direction to filter out cross-traffic.
EVOLOOP is a truly versatile solution, seamlessly adapting to various barrier types and applications, including car parks, toll booths, and access control systems. It can be installed on all types of barriers, even those with skirts or hinged support, with arms up to 7 metres long.
