The 14 Market Leading Features of TS Control Panels

26 September 2023

GfA ELEKTROMATEN’S TS Control Panels are engineered with market leading capabilities, offering many features that simplify setup, enhance customisation, and streamline maintenance.
Let's take a closer look at these features that are not only revolutionising the industry but are all included as standard.

1 Plug-and-Play

TS Control Panels & Drive units set the standard for user-friendly installation. They are a true 'plug-and-play' system, eliminating the need for hard wiring on-site. With a straightforward setup process and a maximum 3kW rating for single-speed drive units, getting your system up and running has never been easier. Our TS Control Panels are compatible across the entire GfA drive range, ensuring consistent setup procedures across all GfA drive types. The simple and intuitive two-level dial programming method ensures a quick and straightforward setup, saving you valuable time on-site and results in effortless servicing and maintenance.

2 Phase Rotation Made Simple

Our TS 959, 970 & 971 Control Panels include a parameter for changing the phase rotation.
No need to physically swap phases to change the rotation direction and there’s no hard wiring or phase-reversing plugs required.
During initial set-up, this can be achieved by holding the open and close buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds or through parameter 0.2 if the door limit positions have already been set.

3 In-Built Wireless Safety Edge System

The TS 971 Control Panel, with in-built receiver for a Wireless Safety Edge connection, allows a fully integrated Wireless Safety Edge system to be paired directly to the TS 971 without the need for an additional receiver.  What does this mean for you? A simplified set-up that reduces both complexity and on-site costs.

4 Clear Display of Fault Codes & Door Status

All TS Control Panels have a two-LED 7-segment display, providing crystal-clear notifications for fault codes and door status. This feature simplifies setup, fault finding, and diagnostics, resulting in higher customer satisfaction. You can even obtain fault codes from the site before attending, ensuring that servicing is quick and efficient.

5 Automatic Closing Timer

The TS 970 & 971 Control Panels offer an automatic closing timer that is fully adjustable in 1-second increments, extending up to 240 seconds. This feature ensures precise control over the closing process, optimising operation and convenience.

6 In-Built Radio Receiver

The TS 971 Control Panel comes with an in-built radio receiver.  This feature allows for the direct pairing of transmitters into the TS 971, eliminating the need for a standalone receiver, saving you both expense and set-up time.

7 1000mA In-Built Power Supply

The TS 971 Control Panel offers flexibility with an in-built power supply available in either 350mA or 1000mA.. This allows you to connect accessories directly to the 24V supply within the control panel, accommodating a combined consumption of up to 1000mA. Say goodbye to the additional time and cost of an additional PSU – simply select your preferred option when ordering.

8 Configurable Relay Functions

The TS 971 Control Panel boasts an array of 14 different relay functions. This versatility allows for simple on-site customisation, enabling the activation of traffic lights, sounders, and other items, along with interlocking and door position reporting via the free relays.

9 Customisable Sequential Input

The TS 970 & 971 Control Panels offer a customisable sequential input for pull switches and similar devices. This feature allows specific configuration of panel operation upon receiving commands from pull switches and alike.

10 Programmable Maintenance Cycle Counter

All TS Control Panels feature a maintenance cycle counter – a powerful tool for service and repair. This counter enables you to monitor the usage of any door, preset the number of operations for intended use, and notify customers when a service is due through four function outputs. Additionally, these panels include a non-resettable cycle counter, indicating full lifetime use.

11 Load Monitoring Parameter for Sectional Doors

The TS 959, 970 & 971 Control Panels offer parameter 3.1 for load monitoring on Sectional doors providing enhanced safety. Once set, the control panel can detect runtime deviations to a customisable threshold, signalling sudden situations such as a spring breaking or personnel being lifted by the door. The control panel will display F4.1 and the operation will revert to hold-to-run.  Safety is paramount - the minimum safety requirements for Sectional doors can be found within BS EN 12453.

12 Emergency Operation

In the event that a safety device fault is present, the TS 971 Control Panel provides 'emergency operation' (included in the fault code). This invaluable feature allows a service engineer or trained user to override the control panel and operate the door on an emergency basis, using hold-to-run control only, providing it is safe to do so.

13 GfA+ App & Bluetooth Stick – Your ‘On-site GfA Engineer’

Regular maintenance and diagnostics are essential for keeping your door systems in optimal working condition.
The GfA+ App allows for storing & viewing of information on the TS 959, 970 & 971 Control Panels. The App can be used for basic fault finding or with the Bluetooth Stick for diagnostics. The Bluetooth Stick can be plugged into the TS 959, 970 & 971, allowing a full diagnostic download to the App, easing fault finding and maintenance. On request, these diagnostics can be viewed remotely by the GfA Technical team or in your own group on the GfA Portal.

14 Seamless Integration with FI Drives

The TS 970, 971 & 981 Control Panels seamlessly integrate with GfA Frequency Inverter (FI) drives. They automatically tailor parameter values depending on the connected drive. Adjustable in rpm and seconds, the TS 970, 971 & 981 allow customisation of both the opening and closing speeds alongside the acceleration and deceleration times, through parameters 4.1 to 4.8.
